✅ Fix or export

Filter the results, copy the broken links or export everything to CSV, then fix or replace what needs attention.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a broken link?+

A broken link points to a page that no longer exists, usually returning a 404 (not found) or 410 (gone) error. Broken links frustrate visitors and waste the authority that links are meant to pass.

Why are some links marked "Unverified" instead of broken?+

Some websites, including many large platforms, refuse automated requests and return errors like 403 or 429 even though the page works fine in a browser. Calling those links broken would be misleading, so we mark them Unverified. Open them yourself to confirm.

Should I fix redirected links?+

A redirected link still works, but it adds an extra step. For links on your own site, update them to point straight to the final URL. This keeps your site clean and avoids long redirect chains.

Does this tool scan my whole website?+

No. It checks the pages you enter, not your whole site. Free users scan one page at a time, and paid plans can scan several pages in one go. Start with your most visited pages.

Does it check images, scripts and CSS files?+

No. It checks the clickable links (anchor links) on the page, which are the ones that matter for visitors and for link building.

Is the Broken Link Checker free?+

Yes. Each scan checks a limited number of links depending on your plan, and logged-in users get a higher limit.
